In that last batch, I'm the hairy druidish looking fukker on his netbook on the rocks. Then we have the west-coast linkswarm womenfolk: clockwise from the top: Pepper, then Spanky's daughter, then my lovely wife. In the bottom pic, Goat seems to be propositioning my eldest son.

First time we've been out camping in a dozen years...very good for the Goat & Rose



Friday night, we put on the major munchy...Rosie's baked beans, Kabobs, and a hundred or so buffalo turds.



The kabobs came out so good...gone in 20 minutes...

I thought that looking through the pics, I'm more envious of the actual meetup and shenanigans had. With the only other old member of LS that I can think of that lives in the uk being @Lefen (and possibly Evildigits?) a UK-LS gathering wouldn't be as much cop.

I'd much rather have room service and a pool. We could afford a hotel, couldn't we? I'm all for a camping trip though, if its in November or if its in a cavern.

I will not get stuck babysitting the barbecue or running errands the entire time.(Thanks, btw Goat. Those kabobs were off the hook!)

Treasure hunt with an actual treasure chest.(Must be on the coast for this.)
I'm making a special "piratey" chest for this event.
There WILL be sore losers. :)

I'll be there. Are you thinking family-friendly again? cuz im coming in from AZ, so thats a lot of babysitter time I'd have to arrange for.

That ended up in our ice chest, along with two of your padlocks. It is now a beautiful blackened/brown from all that time in the pig's mouth, and being fire roasted for 10 hours. It has a place of honor among my pagan idols on the "adult"shelf.

Yeah. I'm thinking pirate themed beach party. Family-friendly for the most part(not counting the drinking)
I think the kids would get the biggest kick out of looking for Cap'n Spanky's buried loot.
:Note to self: Figure out a good way to water/sand-proof a chest, locate plunder that be pleasin' to both man and boy, plot a good hidey spot and draw annoyingly vague directions thereto on several sheets of

Probably the only advantage of being single; I get to spend my money on WHATEVER THE F#CK I LIKE, WHENEVER THE F#CK I LIKE.

I think I'll fish out those old leaf springs and crank out some cutlasses and I've got an old design for some pretty damned stout wooden swords for the kids so that nobody goes home empty-handed.
You're never too old to play dress-up, get hammered and find good-natured mischief to get into, IMHO.
