Dinner With a Serial Murderer's Son

So, I've had this friend for about 15 years. She is pretty cool. She married this guy who went to the same church as I as a kid. I knew him a bit in our teen years.

Last year some time, after severing contact with his father and mother due to his fathers meepual abuse of him and his sister, my friends husband began to recall some interesting things from his childhood.

He recalled things. Nasty things. Murderous things. Things like watching the murder of a grown man and then being given his severed meep as a "gift."

He also recalled being present during the disturbing murder of a young blonde girl.

Then later, he claims, that his father had him help dig up the back yard grave (presumably of this girl) and move her remains to a local lake. "Digging up Indian bones" his father had told him.

A few months ago he began talking to detectives about these recollections and his history of meepual abuse at the hands of his father.

His wife told me of the horrific stories her husband related to her and how the city police in Exeter where incredibly inept and mishandling the investigation. Later she spoke of how the investigation was finally in the hands of competent detectives and that they were doing things like getting warrants, wiretaps, etc.

After attempting to get his confession on tape with his son wearing a wire they authorities finally served a warrant on his house the other day.
Story

Turns out they feel that dead girl may have been this one, which would explain the Hayward PD cadaver dogs.
The FBI are likely involved due to possible child pornography issues/and or other suspects being in other states.

The his father was released after 5 hours of questioning (in which he presented himself as someone who is guilty, yet admitted only to meepually abusing his daughter, not his boys and denied murdering anyone). He will most certainly be charged with multiple crimes, what exactly, is the question.

The most magical moment to happen thus far was when the suspect, my friends father-in-law, spoke to a reporter yesterday. Ironically, this reporter is also an old high school friend of my wife. Video is here.

We had the family over for dinner last week he spoke fairly freely of some of the things he endured and was forced to be a part of. I have no reason not to believe the dudes story (obviously the authorities do not either). This family's lives are like a bad Lifetime movie right now and it is quite a trip to be so close to something so sinister and foul.

I felt this was a bit much for the "local police blotter" thread so I posted here. I'll keep the swarm posted of any developments as they occur.
