Failed Generals don't run for office. They take take guest speaker positions at Fox News. McChrystal doesnt strike me as the type to go chumming around with Oliver North.

This would be a wager worth taking if the General in question were Petraeus.

Except Petraeus is far from a failed General and I don't think anyone would be surprised to see him in the Senate upon his retirement.
