Methods to Madness

This method has worked for me since about 1973. Still the most efficient and effective for this form of Cannabis that I've found. Although a bit heavy on the "prep and tool" side, it works with great immediacy and with very little waste.

As Always, Make SURE You have your Doctor's Prescription for usage, according to the local Laws of your area.

First you need to gather you tools. These include:

A Long Pin, like a Hat Pin
A Box, or Tin to push the pin through from Underneath.
A Glass Lamp Chimney, Open on Either End
(optional) a Cork to Plug the top of the Chimney while it Fills. (Otherwise just the palm of your hand)
Fire to Light the medicine with

Prepare your Medicine by slicing it into thin pieces about as thick as a fingernail paring, and about one eighth by three eighths inch wide/long.

Carefully stick a piece of the medicine onto the tip of the pin, trying to get as close to one end of the flake as possible. Taking all due diligence so as not to burn it all at once, light JUST THE TIP of the piece, then quickly blow out the flame, leaving just a tiny red, glowing coal to burn across from one side to the other. As soon as the flame is out and the coal is lit, place the chimney over the pin/medicine.

Wait for the entire piece of medicine to slowly burn. The chimney should fill with smoke. At that point, carefully lean over the top, and as you lift the bottom up about one quarter to one half inch, inhale through the top. The entire hit should come right on through and straight into your lungs.

This seems to work very well for me, and has for many years.

It seems you have a large surface area there on which the vaporized resins of your "medicine" will condense and collect. A more suitable method might be to set up an arraignment with a short brass tube leading to a bowl/screen combination. I have tested this configuration extensively over the years and can vouch for its effectiveness.
