Haiti relief benefits
So, anyway,
After giving away all the warm stuff that I don't use anymore, via a band contact, from the Monday night blues jam band I'm with,to the Vancouver homeless,it seems it's freebie time again.
There's 2 Haiti relief gigs upcoming, and 2 more in the works.
No, they don't pay.
I really don't mind, cuz I like what I do for a living, even when it doesn't pay.
It still beats the meep out of some labour gig in the rain, or having flourescent lights suck the vitamin D outta my corpse-white bod in an office.
I don't have much (mostly because I don't want much), but I still have a hundred times
what most of those folks had before half their friends and families were squashed flat,
while daydreaming about a full belly.
I don't have money to give, but at least I can contribute something, and I'm glad that I get to.
Pretty meepin' sappy, eh?

not to burst your bubble but warm gear wont really help. i'm near haiti's latitude at the moment and its not at all cold. even outside, even at night. matter of fact, ive got all the fans going and windows open right now and its midnight. what they will need, eventually, is rain gear. it never gets cold in the caribbean, but it does get wet.

Same as them, what's more they don't 'preciate wut dey get. meeping animals will kill over a jug of water and never get together to dig a well. They're all temporarily better off(aside from the deaths/injuries) but it'll be bidness as usual in short order.
