Year in Review
When contemplating the highs and lows of the past 12 months I've decided 2008 is on my "top ten worst years ever" list. The first three months were ALL GOOD, but the past nine have been a huge bucket of rancid pus filled suck. Fam damily dramas were unbelievably over the top in 2008, reinforcing my long held belief that "Out'ta sight and Out'ta mind" is a healthy way to deal with my family. I'll spare the details of the numerous Springer-esque tragedies. I got a $5K raise in my annual salary in March and was laid off from my job in July. I knew the job market was tight in Chicago, but the news in the "Trib" that "beaners are getting the meep out and heading home" is seriously scary. The dole keeps good food, good drink and good bud on the table and pays a few bills. Although I haven't needed to blow bums under a bridge for beer and smokes this year; I've got a tingling feeling I'm going to get meep raped on my 2008 taxes.
There was more meep but this is blowing a good buzz.

Just remember to give yourself plenty of time for cooking (a field-dressed baby can weigh upwards of 30 lbs and take a FULL DAY to cook!)
