I was trawling the depths of the fresh internets on wired, and found some big pharma culture praising fodder. living in austin and having seen ppd pharmaco fund /el mariachi/ I realized this was some hackneed oboe peddler trying to entice young boys. [that just sounds bad, used for onomatopoeic effect only]
so I found this little strand of a press release from 2003 and a 2006 news item relating to the partnership of two big european pharma wigs, check this hubris:
We are very pleased to team up with Boehringer Ingelheim, a global and experienced leader in antibody development and manufacturing. The opportunity to have our promising therapeutic antibody being developed and produced by an approved high expression system of a top tier partner constitutes a major step forward towards the realization of our clinical development program. It increases the value of our first development candidate substantially.-

And then... the 2006 state
German biotech firm TeGenero has filed for bankruptcy just four months after a catastrophic safety trial with its immunomodulatory drug candidate TGN1412 left six healthy volunteers fighting for their lives...
Just sharing another nugget of a factoid that will be vaguely remembered in 8 years and probably miscommunicated.
