Planets that are lousy with volcanoes and poisonous gas and gravity and their own alien problems.

I fell for this about 10 years ago, at the local Planetarium. It cost me $300. to name a star you could see without a telescope.
It pissed her off, because she bought me a watch.

I went for this meep when I was a kid. I adopted a whale (they sent me a picture of it's tail) and a 2x2 square foot of land in a rain forest somewhere. I'm sure I've used both the soap from that whale's blubber and the paper from the tree on my rain forest land. Fuk that noise.

The estimates are that there are roughly 100 billion billion stars in the universe with new ones being born just as fast the old ones die out. There is about roughly 100 billion stars in our little galaxy the Milky Way.
Based on the speed of light and the distance light can travel in one year I would have to say that by the time the twinkle of your little stars reached earth some of these stars have already burned up and died out. So you purchased the naming rights to nothing at all.
In the future if you feel the need to blow cash on something stupid, send it to me instead.
