Smartarse Kid
Yesterday (Saturday) I banned my seven year old from his computer for a week because he was beating his cordless mouse on the desk 'cos it wasn't working properly.( He wasn't pointing it at it's receiver ). I did this to try to encourage him ( for the tenth time, I am not a total arsehole.) to show some respect for expensive equipment and to discourage the use of violence as an answer to frustration.
This morning ( Sunday) I find my seven year old in front of his computer, watching some kids TV show on Yahooligans. I remind him that he was banned for a week. The reply I got was " But Daddy, it is Sunday so it is the start of a new week" . He got to keep his computer.
