Site members can create their own journals and post comments. | I Really Hate It When.. 10-01-2004 at 09:20 am
I really hate it when some one puts up a journal entry and there are a bunch of comments and we're having fun with it and then it suddenly vanishes.
I liek pie though.

well considering she got strips torn out of her for no good reason (Eurowonder was an attention whore - UV was hardly up to her standards), who can blame her? I'll be referring to UV next time someone starts a forum thread complaing about the number of registered swarmers who actually participate.
oh, and 50 of my viking points say she was the fat goth.

Fatgoth gets my vote as well, deleting journals is gay.

This is the second time you've tried to make your point the exact same way. I let you have it the first time but you couldn't leave it alone. So this time I will respond.
The thread I started said "WHY ARE ALL YOU PEOPLE HERE? stand up and tell us what brought you here."
THere is nothing about participation. I just want to know where the traffic is coming from. The second point is that I don't give a fuck if there are 10K people posting everyday or 4. If they are an attention whore, (which she didn't start out to be) then who cares what they have to say. I don't see this being her fault entirely. I blame the internet and people that measure chicks value by thier picture of willingness to accept crappy sex jokes

i re-posted because the journal entry got deleted within a few hours of me posting it and i wanted to be there for everyone to read.
i didn't re-post to try and piss you off.
it just seemed to me that UV was a bit of phun, but we were shitty to her. nevermind.

It's possible we were shitty to UV. For my part, her second journal entry looked awfully close to a lot of Internet attention whore tricks. Perhaps that wasn't her thrust; I dunno.
In any case, deleting journals is gay, especially when there's been a lot of commenting in them. It's like erasing history. In this case, it wiped out so much recent conversation I very nearly removed the ability for people to delete their journals in the future. I haven't done it yet.
Everybody: if you post something in your journal, and later decide you can't stand by what you've said, if you absolutely have to remove it instead of explaining yourself better in the comments to that journal, then edit the journal and change your post, or remove all the text. Please don't nullify the work other people have done.
I messaged her and asked her permission to restore the journals from my database backups -- she hasn't responded yet.

Leaving journals up for less than 24 hours then deleting everything completely and/or deleting the entries that are deemed offensive by the creator of said journal is pure bullshit pussy. If you can't take the heat, the ass rape’n with glow sticks, the forum gang bang, the vile and abusive comments directed towards every minority group and or political affiliation then get the fuck out and do not let the door hit ya in the ass...as you leave!
If you are squeamish about blood guts and or small mammals getting squashed and/or inserted vaginally and/or rectally then this is certainly not the certainly not the place for someone as dainty as you!

vas: i both for and against deletion of a journal. i remember commenting to a journal that was deleted out from under me, and that was kind of annoying. it also annoys me that we lost all of those responses. but i can also understand wanting to delete something that wasn't well thought through or a bad or embarassing idea. i think a good compromise would be to remove the ability to delete after so long (an hour?), but i don't know how hard that would be to implement.

| Sexual Asspussy | This is awesome.
This is the first pornsite I've found in years that I'd actually advertise to swarmers. When you first load it up, it looks just like every crappy scam site out there, except that it's real. It's huge, it's updated constantly, there's no spam, no popups, and no bullshit -- and it's completely free. When you sign up through that link above and respond to the confirmation email, I make a bit of loose change.
See what other swarmers have to say about it. People love this place, so I feel fine about sending you there and am confident you will enjoy boners.
