At about 7 this morning it was still raining but it didn't look like anything maqjor. By a Quarter to 8 the water was inches from my front door and rising fast. By 8:15 I had 3 inches of water inside and I had to move my car to high ground. I scrambled around for a couple hours trying to get my stuff above the steadily rising water.
By 10:30 I had managed to save everything that was saveable aqnd had gone upstairs to dry off. About that time the sirens went off and multiple bull horns announced that the dam above town was cracking and we had to evacuate immediately.
Major Bummer! I grabbed some clothes and got out. By this time the water was hip deep and still rising. So far the dam has held but if it goes tonight I might not have a home to go back to tomorrow.
I'll try to get on line tomorrow and let you guys know what's happening.

They just let me back into my house. The dam that could have wiped out the town managed to hold together. My place now has a decided lean toward the left but is otherwise OK.
Was amazed that the power and phones are back on already. It's going to take a couple weeks to clean up the mess downstairs.
Actually, the dammage to my place isn't a whole lot worse than the psycho chick did about this time last year.
I'll get some pics of the disaster up in a day or so.
