hey, i know it's not new.
last night i tried a binaural beat. i narrowed my choices between the hand of god, marijuana, or an orgasm, so for sure i go with orgasm.
it's a 50 minute track. i don't know how many minutes later pass, and i open my eyes to remind myself it's all a placebo. i shut my eyes again.
i don't know when i start to feel good, but i feel myself trance out. like my head felt like it was vibrating side to side insanely fast, but the amplitude of the vibrations was getting smaller and smaller. i hit equilibrium in the middle. it only took a few seconds.
my limbs feel the same they do when you get anesthesia, and my arm sinks into my chest.
my limbs are all detached, but they're still warm.
something in the noise changes, and my heart starts to race. i still feel good, but now i'm conscious of my heart beating too fast.
maybe my brain thinks i'm thrusting too much?
i open my eyes and remove the headphones for 30 seconds.
back on, the noise changes again.
my head feels really far away from my legs; the perspective of it feels like my legs are stretching over the horizon, squeezing into infinity. i feel like an upsidedown pyramid. i feel good, though.
i couldn't finish the sound. i was a little scared after my heart was racing.
i will probably try again tonight.

I downloaded something similar a few months back, but it went by a different name. Had like 40-something options, mostly drugs. I never sat through one entirely despite trying multiple times because they would either get annoying or I would just feel uncomfortable (similar to the heart rate thing you mentioned). I never felt like I was on or even slightly on any of the 'drug' sounds I tried, which wasn't a surprise. It's basically fancy white noise that lulls (lulz) you into a hypnosis-like state, then you let yourself feel whatever the fuck. You can do this on your own without the sounds if the room is quiet enough.

i've tried some self hypnosis before. i can't ever concentrate long enough to do anything.

yeah, i-doser. I couldn't remember the name.
As for the self hypnosis, a generic self-hypnosis tape helps and with some practice you can get better at it. Eventually you don't need the tape and you can feel totally rad all on your own.

I've been using binaural audio for years.
So I downloaded some of the I-doser tracks.
They're pretty good. But I wouldn't call them 'drug' or 'sex' experiences.
I've been using hemi-sync tracks for a long time. They're from the Monroe Institute. They really researched and developed the technology.
I would say that it's a different experience than I-doser, and I didn't think it would be.
If you're really into it, they have big long programs and retreats.
