conspiracy theorist thinks that interviews are conspiracies
"he's gesturing to the left, signifying that he is a left-winger"
or maybe...just maybe...he's gesturing to the left because the interviewee appears on the left side of the screen to the television audience!
the reason i get frustrated with talking heads isn't because they don't take 9/11 conspiracies seriously, it's because they're all spineless when it comes to, you know, important subjects.
it's very easy to call out a guy that has dumb, marginalized ideas. but bring on a politician, and they lob softball questions and accept bunted answers. they're so afraid of having that person not return to the show that they let a publicist vet their questions.

I guess you missed the point of this. I'm more interested in the way messages are conveyed here and i think Faux news tries especially hard to do this. They are professional manipulators and sadly I know people who can't see through their bullshit and covert tactics.
The topic they are discussing on these videos is pretty much irrelevant in this journal entry.

no, i didn't miss the point.
you picked a series of videos wherein a man professing conspiracy theories is interviewed on a "popular" television show.
they're not secretively discrediting him with handsignals.
they're outright dismissive.
they don't have to mask their disgust, or twist his words, or anything covert. they can overtly mock him without the fear that anyone would look at the interview and be offended, or question their biases.
you picked a series of videos that supposedly shows covert collusion, when all it is is overt bile.
the topic isn't irrelevant at all. but i think you're over-estimating what it is they do. they're not sleight of hand magicians who magically manipulate arguments. they just say things that people already believe. these videos are hilariously overwrought.

I don't dislike this show cause of softball questions (everyone does that) or because they outright lie sometimes (welcome to politics).
I dislike them because they opening provoke and encourage hostility betweens the two main political groups.
