Hi, my name is Kristelle M. (10339). How may I help you?
D: My Dsl modem works fine...(obviously) but i cant seem to get an ip on my router [Im chatting online duh]
D: anything behind my router dosent work. wireless or hardline.
Kristelle M. (10339): I apologize for the inconvenience D. Let's check on this one.
Kristelle M. (10339): We have WRT54G v3, right? For documentation purposes, may I have your phone number please?
D: 805-706-0627
Kristelle M. (10339): Thank you. Is the router working fine before?
D: yeah, thats the right model and yeah, worked fine till yesterday.
D: what is the 800 customer service number?
Kristelle M. (10339): To reach our Technical Support department, please call 1-800-326-7114 and an agent will happily assist you over the phone.
D: this is kinda silly cause i cant verywell unplug my ethernet cable and try to get my router going and chat with yu at the same time
D: any suggestions....it was working fine...
D: i did the power cycle...with all the items...
D: modem, comp, router
D: i just cant get an ip to appear in the 'setup' part of the router page
Kristelle M. (10339): I see. Please do try to reset the router so that it'll switch back to its default settings then reconfigure.
Kristelle M. (10339): By the way, who's your ISP?
D: att dsl
D: sbc yahoo whatever their name is now, they keep merging and changing like a Iraqi insurgent on the lam.
D: hah
D: reset by pushing that tiny button in the back with a pin or whatever?
D: hello
[almost 2 minute pause here]
D: ..........................
Kristelle M. (10339): Thank you.
Kristelle M. (10339): Yes, reset by pressing the reset button at the back. Here are the steps:
Kristelle M. (10339): To do hard reset, please follow these steps:
1. Press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds, after that
2. Unplug the power keep holding down the reset button for another 10 seconds
3. Then, plug back the power keep holding down the reset button for 10 seconds, after
that,
4. Release the reset button.
[ha ha, wtf, shes fucking with me...or is she?]
Kristelle M. (10339): By the way, did your ISP give you a Username and Password?
D: yeah and its CORRECT
Kristelle M. (10339): Okay, we'll input the Username and Password to the router's settings.
Kristelle M. (10339): Are you familiar on accessing the router's setup page using its default IP 192.168.1.1?
D: absolutley
D: here is the delimma
D: I CANT ACCESS THE ROUTER WITHOUT REMOVING THE CAT 5 ETHERNET CABLE ATTACHED TO THE MODEM THAT BREATHES THE MAGICAL LIFE OF THE INTERNETS TO MY DESKTOP PC WHICH IM CURRENTLY ON
D: if i remove that cable to mess with the setting on the router and gain access to it well....we no talkie any more (disconnects)
Kristelle M. (10339): That's okay. The setup page can still be access even if there's no internet connection. As long as we have a pc wired to the router and with an IP address, then the page can be access.
D: the internets works fine, im chatting with you over it RIGHT NOW.
D: the pc dosent work when behind the router
D: modem to router to PC= NO INTERNETS
D: modem to PC = Internets(thus, us being able to have this conversation)
Kristelle M. (10339): Yes, that's why we need to reconfigure the settings on the router base on the modem and ISP used so that the internet will pass to it for the pc's.
D: so you will tell me the steps so when i pull my cat 5 up out the back of my PC, thus disconnecting us, i will know what to do?
Kristelle M. (10339): Yes, I'll give you the steps on what to input on the router.
D: k, sounds good.
Kristelle M. (10339): Here are the steps:
Kristelle M. (10339): To configure using a DSL connection, please follow the steps: (Please make sure to use wired pc connected to a numbered port on the router when doing all these.)
[note above wont work, cant access the router or nets whilst 'behind' the router]
[idiotic directions here]
Kristelle M. (10339): Please read the steps first then tell me if there's something you'd like me to clarify.
D: that all makes sense....kinda
D: i shall try it and my daddy will beat me if it dosent work.
Kristelle M. (10339): Okay. You can also copy and paste the transcript to a Notepad or MS Word for your reference.
D: its funny, cause the router worked just fine before...none of the settings were changed and yet here i am, chatting it up with some poor Indian.
D: thank you
Kristelle M. (10339): You’re very much welcome, D. I’m glad to be of service.
Kristelle M. (10339): If you need further assistance, please log-in back to the session. Is there anything else that I can help you with?
D: Nope, keep it gangsta
D: Ttyl
D: OMGWTFFTW

I think more random swearing at and belittling of the support blob will not increase your chances of success but overall it will improve your outlook re: failure.

Just last night i had a similar experience with Dish Network. I have been having problems getting SOME of my VOOM HD channels. This has been going on for 4 weeks (3 different retard techs) so finally they decide that they are going to replace the dish itself. The guy that was here last got my setup to the point where I only pretty much get HD and half of the normal channels. I was on the phone with "advanced" tech support yesterday just verifying my info and the PO specifics. So I get home from work and guess what, I have NO access to ANY channels except the locals (ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC). So I call back tech support again and ask WTF is up as all my HD channels show that I'm not subscribed to them any more and I no longer get ANY other channels. Dish network tech support advised that they discontinued my service until the problem is fixed.
me: ok so what your telling me is because I am missing 1/3 of my channels that I pay for, you went ahead and took away the other 2/3 of the channels that worked!?
indian: Yes, you will get service back on Saturday when the technician replaces the dish.
me: But SOME of the channels were working and I was willing to accept that until Saturday when this is supposed to get resolved
indian: you weren't getting all your channels though sir
me: exactly what kind of logic do you guys use to make this sort of decision?
indian: it shows that you weren't getting some channels so they discontinued service until its resolved on Saturday
(granted I am not paying for service during the outage)
me: let me get this straight, so because some of my channels don't work, you take away all of them?
indian: it shows that you weren't getting channels, they will be restored on Saturday sir
me: so BASICALLY what your telling me IS this makes sense to you
indian: yes, your service will be restored on Saturday
me: OK, so where ever you live, if I am following your logic accurately......... and I cut a finger off........ the doctors over where you live would just cut your arm off until they could get the finger re-attached?
.......silence.........

join the international phone support unhappy customer club...
At least you weren't called a terrorist when you called them to activate your new phone with your current number(same provider) only to have them say that they don't activate phones without a human signature.
Even after explaining that technically they had my signature from my old plan and that I was using their network to make the call and using a phone bought from the same company he refused to activate the new sim :(

| Sexual Asspussy | This is awesome.
This is the first pornsite I've found in years that I'd actually advertise to swarmers. When you first load it up, it looks just like every crappy scam site out there, except that it's real. It's huge, it's updated constantly, there's no spam, no popups, and no bullshit -- and it's completely free. When you sign up through that link above and respond to the confirmation email, I make a bit of loose change.
See what other swarmers have to say about it. People love this place, so I feel fine about sending you there and am confident you will enjoy boners.
