My new crashing location is located in a nice middle class south Chicago Hispanic hood, a 15 minute ride on the EL from the Loop. Yesterday I was officially in Chicago for one week and much to my dismay have not been ass raped or fondled. I am still working on it though.
When I left Bum Fuck Bangor last week I packed my rags important documents and my espresso machine. I had to sacrifice coats and boots to get the espresso machine in my duffle bag. I forgot to pack the espresso machine when I was out on my semi world tour back in January and February; I was not going to forget it this time, since I will not be going back to Bum Fuck Bangor unless it is to pick up all of my belonging I left behind. If I can get back to pick up my shit then fine, if not then that is fine as well. I have had shit and I have lost shit and I do not doubt I can accumulate more shit.
I have met new great friends and I did not have to charge a dozen roses per hour when I met these new friends. It so refreshing to be around intelligent articulate awesome people after having been stuck in the Maine woods for the past 5 years, 8 months and 22 days with a toothless slack jawed yokel.
However, if I do not get a job soon, joining to the ranks of the worlds oldest and most admirable professions is still an option I am sitting on. I had a couple of job interviews this week and have also signed with several of the local headhunters as well. One of my new friends offered to pass my resume to her boss.
I am very excited about this move and know I am going to love living here.

If you're going to be a proper FIB (Fucking Illinois Bastard), you need to spend all your free time here in Wisconsin hunting, fishing, and camping.
