2005, for me, was one long, useless piece of shit. I left "college", came back to Chapel Hill and started taking CC classes and worked non-stop all year to break even and have a little extra cash. I applied to UNC, got waitlisted, and now I'm applying again. I picked up a new job at a coffee shop, which is pretty nice. Just recently I moved into a new apartment, my first in CH.
My grandmother died, my last grandparent. Many other people died, people I kind of knew and people that I know their families, some people got cancer and made it through the treatments, others still need more care.
My Mom got a new dog, and doesn't take proper care of it. My girlfriend got a cat, the cat ran away, I found the cat, I lost the cat, we got the cat back, the cat had an infection which cost me about $120. Now the cat attacks my feet at 4 in the morning.
My girlfriend's car got stolen by crackheads, returned after a month, and spent another couple months in the repair shop before we got it back.
My Statistics class turned into a nightmare and I missed some major quizzes, than I just dropped it and ended up with 13 hours of classes and A's and B's. I'm taking it again this semester.
In the background of all this, adulthood is stalking me, making me think about things like bills, car payments, saving money, etc. etc. This year has been one of constant work, panic, stress and useless fretting. There have been all of these little crises that served no purpose, all of these "events" that ended up wasting everyone's time. Every financial disaster was dealt with and supported somehow. Every time I felt like that life had finally spiraled out of control events conspired to bring everything back to equilibrium. All of the chaos was a precursor to a more or less smooth transition back to normaility.
So I guess this year has been a lesson for me about how to manage my life, how to try to deal with the things that constantly stress me out, while trying not to let them rule my life. How to spend time with the people I care about and feel comfortable ignoring the people who don't care about me. How to drink a lot of whiskey and return to work the next day more or less intact.
Nontheless, I'm glad its mostly over. I have faith that next year will be better.
How was this year for you?

I've said this too many times to remember....
The only good cat is a dead one.

this year for me went on mostly like that last. mostly uneventful, but nowhere near unpleasant. the end of the year has turned out pretty good though, with a big project at work that provided me with lots of overtime pay (and a few sleepless nights on the job that are easily forgotten) and then an interview for another job that looks to both a) pay better and b) be less work. can't complain there.
agreed about trying not to stress about being an "adult" - paying bills, being responsible, etc. we all gots to do it, so it's best to not stress about it, or you'll be stressed the rest of your life. just remember to have some fun now and then. and fun doesn't always mean spending cash if you don't want it to (although someone needs to tell my girlfriend this though).
all in all, i'm optomistic about '06, as i usually am about a new year. and really, why be anything but? the past is past and the future is whatever you make of it. so cheers to a new year, i'll be there hoping for the best.

For me and the ball and chain 2005 was rather uneventful with the exception of the invasion of vermin from NYC in August.
I had a hard time getting my motivation groove in gear this semester. I procrastinated projects and papers, but somehow managed to pull A’s and B’s out of my lethargic ass at the end Finals Week on December 23rd.
On Christmas Eve I checked my bank account on line before heading out to do last minute shopping; pick up a tree, and gifts for the ball and chain etc, when I saw that once again I had been fucked up the ass by a local market. This time I had been charged 4 times for a single purchase on my debit card. Sadly for me every check for bills and small purchases that hit the bank after the quadruple computer error put me in the RED. While the bank covered all checks and debit transactions they charged the obligatory twenty dollar charge which totaled over $180 bucks. Thankfully this time I had kept the receipt from the market since this is not the first time this type of computer error has occurred. The store manager said the evil computer system had busted her bank account as well a few weeks ago and assured me that it would all be taken care of…Sometime after the holiday! On Christmas Eve and in less than 30 seconds I went from feeling fat and happy to lean and mean.

2005 in Qwerty Review:
1) Didn't goto court this year
2) Didn't meet Hilary Duff this year (even though she toured Australia)
3) Didn't get a motorbike
4) Didn't stop going to my fucktard ripoff mechanic (dragonstaff are mechanics in SA stupid, cheating, lazy assholes too?)
5) Didn't get fined for anything by the po-po
6) Didn't quit drinking, smoking, gambling
7) Didn't not buy a new computer
8) Didn't pay tribute to the old/new pope
9) Didn't goto church at all
10) Didn't Die/commit suicide( much to the dismay of many :( )

Qwerty- Only like mechanics everywhere. If the customer deserves to be ripped off and lied to, then they get ripped off and lied to.

I just back paged my browser and the appropriate codes for the clickys are there...is there a limit on clicky usage?

Of course not, but there should be a ban for anyone using the word clicky.
Here's the code you used, with brackets replaced with braces.

| Sexual Asspussy | This is awesome.
This is the first pornsite I've found in years that I'd actually advertise to swarmers. When you first load it up, it looks just like every crappy scam site out there, except that it's real. It's huge, it's updated constantly, there's no spam, no popups, and no bullshit -- and it's completely free. When you sign up through that link above and respond to the confirmation email, I make a bit of loose change.
See what other swarmers have to say about it. People love this place, so I feel fine about sending you there and am confident you will enjoy boners.
