Ok, so I was over at my mom's house the otherday moving some furniture with the fam. Ever since the split we have had no idea what to do with all the heavy ass mahogany, walnut furniture as both my parents have smaller townhouses/apartments now. I was checking into her cabinet for a brief minute and saw a collection of bottles that astounded me.
Now I know that she's been on shitloads of meds for a while. She's a clinical social worker (MSW) and has been seeing psychologists for a while and getting prescribed meds. I was put through all that shit too, for a while, but now I'm only on one prescription for anxiety (which is a lot lately).
Ok so this fucking women is on the following: Colonapazem (downer, I'm on it), dextrostat (upper-short term), dexadrine spansules (slow-release form of other), diazepam (valium), lexapro (anti-depressent). There was also a huge assortment of other things but I'm pretty sure this mostly related to being old / allergy shit. So she's on two uppers two downers and a antidepressent. wtf.
Anyway it just got me to thinking about prescription drugs and how everybody's on one.Whats sitting in your medicine cabinet and why the fuck do you need it? What do you think, swarm friends?

In order of use: Maalox. Alleve. Bandaids. Nyquil. Dayquil. Rubbing alcohol.
Now, my mom's medicine cabinet? Probably a whole different (laughing) matter. Seems like everyone's on some kind of anti-depressant suddenly. I don't trust it; it's either psychiatric excesses (fuk Tom Cruise) or the subtle stresses of a world heating up to nova.

i was taking lexapro for a couple years but quit this summer. I noticed that it made me feel like shit and i always thought about cool ways to die, not suicide but cool ways to die, like wrestling a crocodile or trying to run through ethiopia holding a pig above my head. wierd shit like that. for a few days after quiting it i could barely stand up without passing out, but after that i felt awsome. moral of the story... ethiopians are hungry.

Pills are old peoples legal drugs. It amazes me how many people look down upon weed and shit then turn around and pop vics or valuims. I never have pills to long and those anti depressant shits fuck with my head I throw those out. I will stick with the natural medicine of weeeeed man.

Paracetamol and ibobrufen. Crystalpipes, on the other hand, is a walking pharmacy. I can't count the different meds she has to take. ( no uppers or downers though ).

No meds thank goodness.
every once in a while a naproxen sodium for the odd headache, but even then it's less than 20% chance that I will take it, the headache usually goes away before the drug kicks in.
You have to take care of yer liver and kidneys and unfortunately the doctors/pharmacysts fail to adequately account for multiple drug interactions or even proper dosage schedules. They will pickle your liver faster than 3 fiths of boone farm.
Now there are some herbal remedies that you can put stock in, but they are esoteric and you need to know what you are doing--and even then you oughtta know what you are doing.

Drugs I've been on for varied periods of time in the last several years prescribed by lackluster doctors who are quick to write prescriptions to get on with their day without even looking you in the eye: Zoloft, Paxil, Xanax. I used to have a doctor who actually cared. Unfortunately he retired when I was 14, so since then I've gotten nothing but people who see me as another item to scan along and send on their way. With each of those drugs, I ditched the bottles well before the prescription was out. Fuck it, I know I can get through my issues on my own, especially now that I have been through stuff that is much more severe that any crap I thought I needed drugs to get through. Now? I only swallow one pill each day - a daily vitamin. It's probably not doing anything more than those other stupid pills ever did: it's making me think that it's actually working. Placebo = the best trick the medical "profession" ever pulled. Dog bless America.

No pills yet, but considering my family's history of heart disease, it's only a matter of time.

first of all, my notions were confirmed: ragoo is a leper. secondly, i am on ovacon35(birthcontrol) and zoloft (antidepressent)
i can honestly say that zoloft is the best thing that ever happened to me, aside from that time...well never mind

NO perscription drugs. The pharmaceutical industry can go fuk itself right in the kester. I doubt most drugs are ever necessary if we just eat healty and exercise regularly. Shit, I haven't even seen a doctor in 15 years.

For me a multivitamin and colonozapem, which I find to be a simple and non-fucked up drug. Just takes the edge off of anxiety for a little while.

That doesn't beat the time my friend and I found a film cannister of pills on the street whilst walking to or from someplace, probably out of it.
anyhow there were pills in that thar cannister and he popped one later, I of course sent it to my contact in the lab with the mass spectrometer, never got aback a report and my pal was "ok" so I guess it was nuttin.

Zoloft 200mgs
Clonazepam (Klonopin) 2-3 mgs depending on anxiety/panic level
Zantac 300mgs 2xdaily for acid reflux (used to be nexium 1xday but Kaiser no cover)
B 100 vitamin complex - one a day
Omega 3 Fatty Acids (fish oil) highest EPA I can find two pills a day.
Flexeril for TMJ as needed.
Ketaconazole - antifungal (horrid for your liver)
1 Pack of Cigarettes a day (or more depending on how bored I am)
Garlic - 1 pill a day if I feel like I'm coming down with something
Valerian Root - Nice mix with Klonopin
I DO NOT DRINK ALCHOHOL (oddly enough)
Vitamin C - When I feel like I'm coming down with scurvy or a cold
Asperin, Ibuproferin, Tylenol - as needed
Tums - as needed
AlkaSeltzer - after eating spicy food
Will start the patch for Nictein soon

There was one that was Like an SSRI but it effervesed in your mouth and I don't remember that week.
Oxycontin (not a pleasurable experiance, I lost all touch with reality, probably a drug interaction, but it was when I had my tonsils removed at the age of 23)
Vicodin (only once during the tonsil thind but it made me itch)
I ahve never taken uppers and I try to stay away from caffein. I have a pretty severe anxiety disorder.

Acheron - Tell your mom that using uppers to get up in the morning and downers to go to bed is a BAD thing (just an assumption). The human body is not an on off switch type mechanism. If she has trouble sleeping 5mgs of valium is fine OR .5 to 1mg of clonopin, but the Valium is a little better cause its slightly less addictive and closer to the Valerian Root from, which all BenzoDiazapines are derived even the really kewl ones. Obviously the Lexepro is not working for her otherwise she wouldn't need all the speed and benzos. There's a new antidepressent/antianxiety/antiOCD med out on the market called Cymbalta. Its not cheep and it can cause a little sleeplessness for the first week or so. BUT it is supposed to be some sort of miricle drug. From what I hear once your brain chemistry settles (Fish Oil helps that process along) the depression goes away along with everything else plus you get an added bonus of really being able to focus (sorta like a stratera/riddlin effect only alot less suck).
Anyways, hope this helps for your mom. I know I'd worry about my mom if she was on any meds. If you need any advice PM me. I have a vast experience with all these types of drugs.
