Well I just made it home after a grueling 8 hour service call and having spent a lot of time, during my drive, thinking about my inner and outer self, I have made a decision to change some of the aspects of my life.
This Journal entry will catalogue my attempt to shed some unwanted pounds and become more Steel-like.
Today is Sunday, July 17th/2005 around 5:20pm. I currently weigh 200lbs and stand a meager 5'6feet tall.
My mission statement is all I will post privately for now.

Public access journals rock so much more than the private ones like F0X (fishy old xeep).
But this better not turn out Kahuna's where he didn't keep the updates rolling.

OK 8:00pm, thats right! Already updating after moderately health dinner and long walk with the wife.
To aid in the weight loss and general well being of my insides I have been and will continue to take 1 Centrum Forte High Potency Multivitamin daily
and also I have decided to try a "natural" weight loss pill called ABS+ which is supposedly designed to assist in weight loss efforts, specifically the loss of abdominal fat. (Which happens to be where most of mine is :)
I mentioned to LK that I planned to try these and he doesn't think I should. Alot of these pills spped up your heart beat and increase your blood pressure, which isn't good.
I do plan to give them a shot as well as better eating (laying off the pop and drinking more water and milk) and getting more excersise.
I'll check back in a week or so...

Good luck. I agree with LK on the pills. Eat sensibly and exercise and you will get there.

Dude, good luck on the new health regime.
But, and this is just my opinion..
Dont waste cash on weight loss pills, get your self a set of weights (I personally opted for a set of cheap dumbbells and a incline/decline bench), and just eat salads and one good meal with a decent amount of protein in a day.
I AM NO EXPERT IN THIS FIELD BUT TATS THE OPTION ID GO FOR.
I think these weight loss pills are all a bit of a scam myself designed to make people think they are some kinda magic bullet to solve there overweightness.
Well, best of luck with whichever path you take steel.

You don't really need any weights if you're just looking to lose weight. Just get off your ass and run a little each day.

So, I felt good about a milestone for me today and wanted to share :eyeroll:
I have finally re-reached the weight that I was at my lightest within the last 7 years. 185lbs and at a staggering 5'2 thats still more than I'd like.
I started jogging 20-40 minutes daily around November. About the week before Xmas I stopped and haven't got back on the treadmill yet. I'm working pretty hard on editing a friends wedding video right now, but plan to start back soon.
The thing that really got me thinking about my health and forcing me to the treadmill more religiously than before was that my doc started scaring me talking about high colestorol and a faulty liver.
I get to have my liver retested soon, hopefully it is improving.... I doubt I would have been quite as full of drink at LKs House Warming had my last doctors apt been prior to the shin dig.
Anyways, Mrs. Steel taped Oprah one day talking about your fat and I watched this dude, Dr. Oz talking about your guts and how they work.
I realize my fag-o-meter is about to skyrocket but
Dr. Oz talks to Oprah about "The Biology of Blubber"
Sorry no vid yet...
But anyways, listening to this guy was interesting, and shitloads of people try shitloads of diets...
But he says 1) Only reduce eating by 100 Calories a day... a.k.a. Don't diet too hard or too fast...
2) He talks about the Ommentum, which I had never heard of before and tells how everyone has one and it catches and stores fat... Thats its job...
3) He gave this presentation about how food moves through the body and said
"Next food moves through the small intestine and into the large bowel. A valve between the two can slow this movement. "That [valve] is stimulated by fiber," Dr. Oz says. "The reason people who have breakfast lose weight is because they have fiber in their diet. Food doesn't come through quite as quickly so you don't feel hungry as quickly."
So the kicker for me was I started eating a fucking Raisin Bran muffin every morning since around the beginning of Dec and I am slowly loosing weight...
I was really shocked cause I had gotten to around 190 before Xmas... and after the holidays, maybe a little over a week ago and noticed I was like 187-188ish... I was shocked I hadn't put weight back on, cause I had thrown the diet out the window and ate a lot...
Anyways, I'm sure many of you are not caring... But I'm feeling a little happy this morning, thought I would share...
... and eat my Raisin Bran muffin!

After watching my mom lose lots of weight, as well of a good friend of mine losing about 40 pounds, I picked up some Weight Watchers materials. I never went to meetings or any of that bullshit, I just had the point configurer and a booklet, but I lost 30 pounds in a month easily. Check it out man, you can still eat alot of stuff, you just have to do it in moderation and offset it with healthy food. ie: Eat a fatty burger for lunch, you're having a grilled chicken salad with fat free dressing for dinner. It worked REALLY well though and taught me how to eat right so I really think it's worth a look.

Shit 5'2 was a typo lol... Thanks chex, I have a friend that was on weight watchers and lost weight... there was a website that had like every calorie count for everything...I lost it long ago... but I think rather than books or meetings, I will stay trying to keep doing what I've been doing...
Update in another year if I quit again... Or perhaps less if I happen to stay motivated :)

Yeah, with Weight Watchers you're given a set number of points that you can use daily based on your starting size along with an extra number points per week to use whenever you want that week. For instance, I think I had ~24 points a day along with 35 weekly ones to distribute whenever. Beyond that I just used the little point calculator (fairly simple equation you can find online) to figure out what had how many points. After 3 weeks, I stopped counting points because it had taught me how to eat right and wasn't neccesary anymore.
Good work though! Keep it up!

I'm a tubby bastard, but even I CAN loose weight when I like to.
BASICALLY, I didn't starve, or exercise much more than a normal work day provides. I sort of just improved everything by a little (food intake, exercization)
It always gets rid of that groggy "I want to sleep forever" feeling I'd have in the morning, just by dropping 5 lbs
As for the details, I feel like sharing, so you can just sit the fuck down and listen
For me, I cut my food budget (Not starving myself, but forcing myself to make better food choices. Cheaper is, in a general 'ice cream cake vs rice' sort of way, healthier)
I walked to work (25 minute stroll)
Worked 4 days a week for 5 - 8 (roughly 30 min-1 hour of lifting/moving/pushing/shitting, 1-2 hours walking, rest is standing doing jackshit)
And I cut out soda. Before this, Soda really did affect my health. I couldn't see it, but now when I drink soda, a full mug gives me a stomach ache. My body isn't as used to the HUGE rush of sugar that the acidtane or w/e tricks our stomachs into accepting)
And the lbs sort of fell off gradually.
The best part is it's fully maintainable. No crashing. No giving into 'carbs' or some such shit and gaining it all back. I didn't deprive myself of anything my body needed, that my mind REALLY wanted, and I didn't exhaust or torture myself with over-exercise.
But I don't mind being a butter-ball for now. Happy Fatties Unite

| Sexual Asspussy | This is awesome.
This is the first pornsite I've found in years that I'd actually advertise to swarmers. When you first load it up, it looks just like every crappy scam site out there, except that it's real. It's huge, it's updated constantly, there's no spam, no popups, and no bullshit -- and it's completely free. When you sign up through that link above and respond to the confirmation email, I make a bit of loose change.
See what other swarmers have to say about it. People love this place, so I feel fine about sending you there and am confident you will enjoy boners.
