Yup, this is the place for it.

VERY nice work there!
Do you have some rivets or epoxy holding the copper on?
I like to drill holes all 'round and use brass tacks as rivets or thin wire/leather strips to hold everything together.
-Just a thought :)

It is a very tight fit, so none of that was needed. I had to put the timber/leather part into the copper cage with a soft mallet.

Fish...it's what's for dinner.

Two sides down, two to go.
I'm touching up the images as the ideas hit me, so they'll probably keep evolving right up until the amount of work I've put in starts to make giving it away sound too painful.

THERE. The carving part is DONE.
Now to try and sand it evenly so there aren't weird blotches all over. (It's walnut so it'll darken up horribly anyway)

I never quite know what walnut will do once the varnish hits it.

Felt like experimenting tonight, so I made some stuffed jalapenos and some little things I'm calling habanero bombs.


Gonna test 'em out on one of the guys at work who wasn't impressed by the heat of the last batch.

Gonna have to order some Ghost Peppers just in case.

If you can't shut him up with habaneros, it's best to just try and sneak out the back door.


Spanky Jr and I each tested one of the habanero bombs.
Verdict:
Quick and steady heat, good flavor/pain ratio, moderate hang time.
(I cleaned out ALL the seeds on this batch)
I might throw some in with the jalapenos at the party and leave a few seeds for the sadists.
