I like the tacoma, only problem is that they are too meeping expensive for being, essentially, just a small truck. And their gas mileage isn't good enough to justify it.

It ain't that big of a deal, a gas powered Tacoma is expensive enough, can't imagine what a diesel one will cost.
I wish companies sold a small, diesel truck in the U.S. Unfortunately Ford, the "american's" car manufacturer sells the diesel powered Ranger everywhere but here. That's what buying american awards you. meep, after 10 years of overpricing the same design, they are dropping the Ranger from the U.S. all together and updating the design and selling everywhere else but here.

Latest Landmark...put up a pair of security gates next door to the Cayucos Tavern in front of the Antique Store. Folks kept using the alcove to urinate, fornicate, and defecate. Anyone else like the curly handles? Dat's me.

The Infamous 18 Three Foot Steel Cubes. Turns out they're going to fill them with rock, trees, soil, & other plants to stabilize a hillside. Makes a lot more sense now. Seemed strange that somebody would want a dozen and a half large metal dice on their lawn.

This is one of the "big boxes"...this one was a little over 500lbs; the biggest is almost 800lbs. The cubes are about 340lbs each, and they're open at an end for dirt & trees & such.
The trick is going to be unloading this meep, on a hill, with a limited range on our trailer winch. We can only reach so far, and lift so much. We're hoping for a pack of on-site Mexicans. That's barely 175lbs each on four corners. We had to move those cubes alone...
