Sekret Santa

Anybody down for this idea? Pool names, and somebody with organizational skills can divy out the addys. Maybe a few simple rules, like all meepz must be homemade, or cost less than, say, $15. Another good rule would be anybody who signs up, gets a prezzie, but doesn't send one out has to french kiss nocal...on the mouth.

Anybody?

Confirmed gift meeps:

ghost
nocal
dragon
wotak
guitarjon
mstrlance
sunny777
nurglets
sadiesue
phlebas
clavis
spanky
vas
grapeape
heather
autoshoes
dent
b0bo
KAHUNA
godevillivedog

I'll keep this live until

tomorrow

or so, then randomly assign swarmers. I guess my satan won't be a sekret, but that's ok. In case of an odd number of participants, I'll gift the odd duck. PM(lol) me your addy, and your real name, unless you want a package addressed to Duckturd_123.

GO!

It's coming out of your $15 maximum value. You are entitled to a gift worth $2.22 USD weighing 4lbs or less.

I think the cutoff should be sooner than dec 5th, btw. Homemade stuff might take a while to make, and the mail in december is a slow meep.

I will also have to pay the postage, and right now the Aussie is worth $1.02 US. For the first time since 1983 I win the less-is-more battle. So someone (unless I draw Spod or Sunny) will get a gift worth $15.30 US.

I will not count postage in the $15.00.

Good point, but I don't want to exclude someone who might want to join late in the game. I think if gifts are sent out by the 10th they should get to where they're going, even Australia. I reckon the homemade gift folks will be on this early. If this goes well, and we get 10 or 20 people who want to play, we can cutoff at an earlier date.

I'm game; I'll do the best I can with it. As far as home-made meep is concerned, I'm a pro at crochet these days (except hairpin lace. anything but that). I've never done this before, however!

Sunny is in! I have a chance at cheap(er) postage after all.

Also, if I end up having to french Nocal, I will expect him to come to me.

Ha ha, nocal wouldn't meep you from half way around the world on your best (semi fat), prettiest day.

He might suck me off or even meepmeep meepbox (after 12 Jack Daniels twisters and a half-pound of late night McDonalds french fries) on a really bad day, but your fat-meep chances are pretty nil. I guess it just comes down to who wants nocal more...

Oh, BTW, your meep stock == down.

Dread Pirate Roberts:

Vizzini: Not remotely. Because iocane comes from Australia, as everyone knows, and Australia is entirely peopled with criminals, and criminals are used to having people not trust them, as you are not trusted by me, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of you.

Matching you two is exactly what I thought you thought I would do.

I figured you were just going to draw names out of a hat.

How heartwarming. Count me in

Consider it a Welcome Home (of sorts).

BTW, both of those guys like being aggressive (even douchbags) on-line, but they would both sit in the floor and cry like children if they opened a vibrating meep toy on Christmas morning and knew it came from a member of Linkswarm.

Count me in, but don't expect anything handmade.

The four pounds was for international shipping consideration only. I don't think that a $15 hand-made treasure chest (or whatever) weighing in at 40 pounds or more is going to upset anybody.
