Heading to Boston
Second anniversary is coming up this weekend and the wife wants to go to Boston. I'm going to admit I'm being lazy as meep here and I'm probably not going to actually look up a single thing she listed. She's got a list of things she's thinking of:
Cheers
John Adams House
Quincy Market
Old North Church
Newberry St.
Boston Commons
Prudential Center
Duck Tour
Whale watching
N.E. Aquarium
Last time I was in Boston we dropped a mattress off at an apartment outside BC then went to the Dave & Busters outside Fenway where we proceeded to get very drunk and come close to puking in a simulator.
How realistic is it to hit all of these between Saturday and Sunday? If not what are the key points to hit? The aquarium is a definite and I wouldn't mind Quincy. What after those an dhow get around? I sure as meep don't want to drive.
Thanks Swarm!

The McKim side of the Boston Public Library was meep.
If you're up near Fenway, Boston Beer Works is meep.
The T is your friend, until one of their jack-booted thugs tries to steal your caution tape. If this happens, threaten to behead the chickenmeep meep.
Malden is NOTTITS. Do not want.
Have fun. Take pictures. Don't die.

North End fer sure. Ask for directions.
Real pizza is http://www.ernestosnorthend.com/
Enjoy, you meep. Also, Fenway tour is pretty decent. Strolling around Cambridge is a good choice.
In two days, you will be meeped, so don't do too much.
CA's advice about the T is Truth. Get a weekend pass at any T stop. Ride the meep out of it like your ex-girlfriend's meep.

BigDin - I'd love to do the Fenway tour but she's a diehard Yank's fan. Marital strife over baseball wouldn't be a good way to celebrate a second anniversary.
Vas - She's a bit of a bad history geek, she's highly influenced by the National Treasure movies so Old North Church has to stay on the menu. I'm keeping the aquarium on just for me, might as well do something I really want to do.
Five main events should satisfy her, if there's time for more I'll have to figure out what - Hunt's Photo and Newbury Comics if I have my way.
Clavis - I will take plenty pictures but they'll end up sitting on my hard drive like the other 163 folders I haven't really reviewed. I'll try not to die either. A friend and I used to say that to each other, unfortunately he didn't listen last time around.
The more I think about this the more I'm thinking LK should put together a list of BBP locations for me and we'll just visit those instead.

Find a Legal and eat there. There are a few of them in Boston and as far as l know they are all excellent.

Cheers - Not what she thinks it is. John Adams House - haven't been here Quincy Market - Do this x10 Old North Church - You can see this from all over town Newberry St. - Do this but bring $$$ Boston Commons - Nice to walk through Prudential Center - Why? Duck Tour - overpriced, overrated, generally a pain in the meep Whale watching - See Duck Tour N.E. Aquarium - It's ok if you like that sort of thing
Ditto on Clabbo's tip about the T. Get a One Day Charlie Pass and you will be king of the world. T Protip: Your pass will get you on the water ferry at the NE Aquarium and will take you to the Navy Yard (USS Constitution)
Don't take walking directions from Cube. He will send you on the Bostaan Death March.
There is better seafood to be had in Boston than Legal Seafood. That's where amateurs go.

If you haven't been to Fenway, regardless of affiliation, you owe to yersef.
There is a Newbury's on newberry and in harvard square.

Any fan of baseball should see a game or at least take a tour of Fenway. It's pure baseball history.

Treat yourself to a couple messy panic attacks there, too.

Correct. Legal Seafood is very middle-of-the-road, despite the desperate grab for being definitively Bostonian.
Here are some alternatives. Expensive, but consistently good and near the Quincy Market: Charter House, Kingfish Hall. A short taxi ride away from Quincy Market, and cheaper: Noname Restaurant or James Hook & Co specifically for lobster.
I'm going to second the vote for the Italian North End; my absolutely favorite spot is Cafe Vittoria, where despite the unassuming decor they do things the right way. Right next to it is Mike's Pastry, and their cookies etc. are also worth the hassle.
Also, the Science Museum, which I'd pick over NE Aquarium any day.

Just drink some juice.

Don't forget to buy an aluminum bat as soon as you land if you plan on going through Chinatown.

If you are into Vietnamese, stop by Le's / Pho Pasteur in Allston or Chinatown. There is a pretty good Dosa place near the Pho in Allston. For Tapas check out Dali's in Somerville, but since you aren't driving, maybe not.
If you like Euro-vaginas, check out the eye candy on Newbury Street. Charles River on Sunday is cool on the Cambridge side, as they used to cordon off the drive to cars... so yuppies could inline-meep-rollerblade.

Just be sure to leave your Masonic High Wizards at home or you might find yourself getting tossed from this and other fine Boston establishments.

Crackalackin:
I would be inclined to agree with this, however in recent years the quality of this attraction has declined. I blame (and I have witnesses to back me up on this) meepers. I'm not kidding.
That being said, the electricity exhibit is still meep. Just remember that you have to hit the meepon really meeping hard to make the disc jump higher.

Pansy. I walked through chinatown 2x day for almost a year. No bat necessary.
Don't eat at Legal.
Newbury? Really? I never got the allure.
Anthony's Pier 4 was my favorite for seafood. Eat at North End, meeping YUM.
I loved cambridge.
When is the anniversary? I have a charlie card with $15 on it, I'll be happy to mail it to you for your consumption.

Holy meep.
I'm using the Swarm for all my future travel plans - meep that Shatner guy. I'll have to present her with more of these options in the morning. It's her dime so I'm leaving most of the destinations up to her with a few exceptions, the aquarium (maybe the science museum now though) is one for me and the other is that we're not doing a damned thing that directly involves the Kennedy family.
The anniversary is officially Monday, two freaking years. The first one seemed like forever, this second one has flown by, hopefully they continue on this path.

Congrats. If you still have room on your agenda, I loved Sudbury, MA. The gristmill and the little red school house from "Mary had a little lamb" were quaint and romantic.
