This could evolve into something really cool.

The conference call format could work. Could we all generate a list of topics to talk about and appoint a facilitator or host to manage the session--like the View but awesome.

Well I have been following this train wreck. I would not minding doing this as well as long as I got a fellow @ to do it with.

As a start we could try the WOTAK hour with gardening and hunting tips. Johnlennon musical attack. i.e. a theme every night. Although I do tech work it doesn't pertain to you meepers but I would love to tell you what top execs and stars own what jets and what not. Even post picts to prove it if they can't be traced back to me and meep.

A swarmcast sounds excellent.

I think a wotak cooking hour would be good...how to kill and prepare a bird for the oven, slow cooking techniques, pork surprise..etc etc.

PalTalk is a good idea. As is Google Voice...it has the ability to record your conversations directly to mp3.

I'd like to have a short weekly spot, but I haven't nailed down a topic yet.

I'm really flakey at this point, kinda don't have a real fixed address, or internet connection that doesnt exist in a coffeeshop.

When I get set up better I will contribute something more worthwhile.

The problem with "all meeting" is that it will become unlistenable after 4 people or so. we should figure out a varying group that changes from ep to ep, as well as figure out specific topics to cover.

The podcast could develop into something decent, but it needs to avoid being a clustermeep.

I thought it was pretty good, and it was interesting to hear the voices of swarmers that you've never heard before. Just listening to the first episode, I think with more ideas and submission this thing could have some legs.

I found the story about Wotak's punishment pretty meeping hilarious. That meep right there is what's going to make the Swarmcast fun to listen to.

The next swarmcast is going to be a bit different. You can still submit content, but I want to get a few people on board for a skype conference where we'll discuss several topics, etc.

In the very least, a cohost would be nice. Toss your hat in the ring via pm or email for either cohosting or being part of a skype panel.

I just finished listening to the fist episode. Most of it was meep, but man, I really enjoyed listening to it. Kudos to everyone involved. I am going to rack my brain today and try to submit something for next time.

It was quite bad, but at least it's something. Linkswarm is all about not doing anything, so if this gets off the ground and becomes a regular feature it'll be sweet.

We need to expand on the voting/commenting angle I think. More people should do it and with better links.

I think a realtime clean-out-the-queue session would be cool. Right now everyone votes in a vacuum and discusses it afterward, where it makes almost no difference except for the off chance an admin happens along and unrejects; it'd be neat to see if people could convince each other that something was worth +1ing (or -1ing). (Future LS 2.0 engine feature that already exists in my dev build: visible Alpha commentary on links before approval or rejection, so you can debate with each other how to vote.)

Sometimes when some poor meep is eating a river of meep in a thread and everybody's posting at the same time (most recently, the codeword for this would be 'richardparker') it'd be fun to get on a conference call and heckle that stupid son of a meep in realtime and maybe post the best bits of scorn onto the thread.

Also realtime: bar-dialing. It'd be tough to coordinate this, though. Does anything offer a dial-in number where people can leave drunken voicemails at random points throughout the evening?

Actually, random voicemails would be a cool vector: just call in and talk about what the meep ever. Then someone goes in after a while and dumps the mailbox to MP3 and posts it. It'd be monologue but it wouldn't require format OR coordinating. The more I think about this idea, the more I think I have to make sure it happens. Like an audio camphone thread.

I just called and reviewed some movies. I think it went awfully (as a matter of fact I'm positive it did) but whateves, I'm puttin' in work for the swarm. Hopefully there will at least be a coherent sentence or two, maybe ill write something down next time....
