thanks. as well as getting a spanky new wide angle lens this week, I got myself a proper flash unit so I don't have to use onboard flash, it's surprising how much different/better it can be just by angling it upwards and bouncing it off a ceiling or wall.

This isn't the building I'd originally intended on getting into but that one had been seriously boarded up and overgrown with thick thorny vines and stinging meepmeep nettle meeps, so I'll be going back with a few tools and heavier clothing than shorts and T-shirt, so more stuff like this to follow.

These shots are stunning dude. With some vignetting, I would put some of this meep on a wall.

funnily enough, correcting the natural lens vignetting was the only main post-processing I did along with a little levels and curves tweak.

I spent 4 years studying art, and 5 studying photography, and I can honestly say that while the photography taught me the all technical stuff and theory, the art stuff helped the most. any monkey can figure out which bit does what on a camera after meeping around with it for a day, but without an eye for composition or style you're meeped.

for a good start, check out the list of meep HERE, there's a load of guides and practical stuff. best advice I can give is to just shoot as much as possible, then review everything as objectively as possible whilst being super critical, find the faults and learn from them. Check out other photographers/artists work as much as possible and try and see what makes their stuff work, and rip it off until you find something that works for you.

I've not come across any decent sites for photography tutorials, although there is probably a few out there. joining a decent photo forum that actually gives advice and criticism is good, the more brutal and honest the better. Flickr is meep for that, pretty much only useful as a gallery and image host.
