I'm blown away at how organic these paintings are. Seriously, what's the medium used? It appears as though they're collaged.

Where's your gallery located at?

The medium is acrylic & inkjet transfers on panel. the inkjet transfers are collaged onto the panel ontop of acrylic.

This stuff is up right now at Artereyes' art space in building B at the blue star arts complex.

They'll be up until May 21, when they'll come down and most likely back to my studio. Unfortunately, you can't just pop in & see 'em, you have to call the gallery owner and set an appointment to get access.

I'm trying to get about $1000 each for these - pricey I know, but each one involves 10+hrs of work, not counting the construction of the wood panels and the flight & time spent in Japan for the photos. That also includes commission for the gallery as well.

Very nice artworks, sir. The play between your creative canvass surfacing and the overlaid imagery is very engaging, and there is a timeless feel to these pieces, as though they might have been produced in any given era. I'm reminded of some of Nick Bantock's work.

In other news, have you been able to scrub the sunnystank off your laffboner?

Sunnystank seems to have faded, but you never know, these things have a way of resurfacing w/o warning.

showing was ok, nofing sold. two works got moved to another gallery where they are showing in the back room collecting dust, and the rest came back home to live with me (and collecting dust)

Where's the gallery? I can't imagine there being much of an art scene in SA unless you're in Alamo Heights. I grew up there but now live in Austin. And Austin's not too far, they go bonkers for artsy stuff - maybe you'd have better luck showing your stuff further north?
