They're one of the top 5 greatest bands ever. I usually have the local classic rock station on low volume in the car but whenever I hear Zep come on I crank dat meep up, soulja boy.

Not upset , just couldn't let such idiocy go unrewarded. Plus it opened up wotak's led zep links for all to enjoy, except a certain someone.

THE BEST BAND of All Time. I grew up with LedZep on my turntable and in my head constantly. Had two copies of each album, one to play, one to keep preserved. Still have them all.

Most kids his age don't have the vaguest clue how much of an influence Beck and Page were to almost any decent player, or songwriter today. Noobs like that probably think today's axmen spontaneously generated, knowing every nifty lick ever, through some sort of Fender, or Gibson osmosis.

So what to do if I owned most of the Zep tapes in the 80s, and have played them soooo much that I cannot bear to listen to them at all now.I did this with the entire Rush and Pink Floyd stuff too. I like it and respect it all, meep cannot bear to listen to it at all anymore, even though I have every lick memorized on my air drums and guitar. Here's the problem: Bon Jovi,Warrant,Ratt,Motley retard,Poison,and all other Hair/meep/suck -cranked- up- no- talent acts. I was watching meeping Metal Mania last night,and decided that it was also getting repetetive old, and not so diverse. I am tiring of Motorhead,Slayer,and all the other metal now, as it is all just the same schtick over and over. I don't care for newer acts, with the exception of Mastadon. Is there hard rock out there that is not played the meep out that does not suck? I'm really quite serious about this. Pls halp. I like bands that play real music that is made on real instruments by talented musicians. Talent always gets me......Not that I claim to posses any....

Bobacus- Personally I burned out on Led Zep and especially Rush from overplay on the airwaves, Pink Floyd, of course is timeless.

You mention all those meepmeep big hair bands of the 80s, but what about Def Leppard,scorpions, Megadeath and Anthrax, they all had some good meep IMHO.

I'm not up to speed on current music either but I found that Static X rocked my meep a few years back, you might like.

Huuuge Megadeth fan. Took that meep to meeping WAR with me. Liked Anthrax, Like staticX, So I'm here thinking that I should just dust off the catolog.....Listening to some live Rush on youtube right now if meeping Lance's video wasn't poopin up the gears. Started by watching the Trailer Park Boys movie trailer from 06, and The Spirit Of Radio was the theme music. I think I'll load my mp3 player with classical for a month and see where I land when I start back on modern music. Thanks, though, and Lance, I don't want no hug. You may suck my meep.

If it wasn't for John Mayall's Blue's Breakers, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, nor Eric Clapton wouldn't have ever had half of the education in guitar that they had. He was the man responsible for all that meep. Look him up in the dinosaur files...just saw him last year, still rocks like a burning pack of screaming nuns.

What station you listening to? I really want to know who kicks more meepty Rush than meepty Zep. PS Robert Plant is a closet meepsmoker. Along with you and Wootax. Zep was about swagger and style. The bands that outplayed and outclassed Zep include Rush,Cream,Hendrix,and Pink Floyd. So they wrote a lot of influential stuff, and admittedly, Rush1 sounds like a Zep album, but they took it so far beyond what Zep was capable of. Zeps live meep is consistently off balance,as their time signature changes prove. There are these uneasy pauses and hesitations where it seems like Page/Jones/Bonzo needed more stage monitor to hear what they were doing, or something, but I'm happy engaging you in the interests of humor, and the fact that I'm right, so you may suck my meep with your sloppy Rock. My money says that Zep would have folded after a couple of more albums. They were good, but just good, among excellent acts that stole their thunder, and outplayed them.Just go watch the live stuff on youtube. The Rush is consistently played better.
