I always thought Cochise, the song and the video, were terrible. Audioslave, which has some good songs, mostly strikes me as 1/2 watered down rage against the machine with 1/2 watered down soundgarden. I stand by this.

If we're sticking in the audioslave vein, I'd have to offer up Sleep Now in the Fire, which was great in art direction as well as content (shutting down wall street takes meep) though I can't fault sach's picks whatsoever.

I watched the top 65 music videos of 2005 that showed up on the swarm a while ago.

The ones that impressed me most were the Gorillaz, Feel Good Inc music video (yeah I know everybody's seen it and is sick of it) and The Arcade Fire, Neighborhood #3 (Power Out). Still, it's been a while since I've seen a really good music video.

This owns your mom. Really. The sequence at the end is amazing.

I've seen some nice choices here but it's hard to decide. I'll break it down like this:

I agree on both points. And I love the facts that they're never (overtly) in their videos, well not since hush anyway.

Best non-Tool music video hsa got to be Refused - New Noise. It's interesting, really well shot, and suits the song perfectly.

Any video from the Chili Peppers is meeping amazing. No one does videos like them. They meeping rock.
