Harsh Times
Ok so the idea of an exmilitary guy coming back to the real world and losing it sounds enticing right? "Im a soldier of the apocalypse man," sounds cool right? Well dont go see Harsh Times if you are expecting a two hour gunfight; what we have here is Serious Actor (christian bale) protecting his status and maybe coming closer to be typecast as a psychopath.
Jim (Bale) has just got out of the Army and has applied to the LAPD in hopes of gainful employment so that he can start a life (read bring across the border) with his bride to be, Martha, who is in Mexico. His app to the LAPD is canned due to his failure of the psych eval (go figure) so he and his old pal Mike (who is also looking for work) end up getting wasted and committing petty crimes. After smoking some weed and stealing money and guns from some locals, Jim gets a call from Homeland Security and then he loses it.....
If i had walked into the theater expecting serious drama, i would give this movie 3/4, but beings i was in the mood for gunplay, 2/4.
In another note, the movie is a direct message to anyone seeking to sate their bloodlust through military service; dont do it.

I've been trying to find this movie due to my insatiable mancrush on Bale, but alas, I cannot find it.
