Clavis_Apocalypticae

Wow, Linkswarm members are so friendly (sarcasm). Just got this PM from Clavis:

Perhaps instead of meepting comments all over the site which are either meeping about old links, or obviously meant to be soliloquies rather than part of a discussion, you could consider one or more of the following options:

1. Start submitting some links of your own. This might lend a bit of much-needed cred when you go whining like a 2 year old girl with a skinned knee about the quality of the links that make the front page.

2. Start engaging in debate, discussion, or discourse. If you really just need to see a graphic representation of your thoughts, try Notepad or Word, and spare the rest of us your inane ramblings.

3. Get funny. 9/10's of what you've written thus far is just mindless, insightless drek.

4. Slow your roll and just troll. Maybe taking some time to just observe how the site works and how the members interact with one another would help you. Or not.

First of all, I obviously have not spammed the forums and warranted a warning.

Second of all I only responded to some of the links in what is known as a "comment". In case some of you have forgotten the meaning it is "a remark, observation, or criticism". Who said comments are meant to be restricted to cynical half-witted jokes meant to show how aloof you are? There are more than enough people posting in that fashion already.

I suspect the real problem is that he was offended by some of my anti-american comments. Poor little fella.

Maybe you should keep your PM's in your inbox and not post them for everyone to see how much of a sob you are. I'm not understanding why you publicly posted the PM in the first place, were you expecting us to flame Clavis?

It's apparent that LS will not work out for you.

My god, it is exactly like high school here. Act in the exact same fashion as us or be treated like something stuck to the bottom of ours shoes.

You feel superior because you don't take anything seriously and make alleged "witty" and cynical jokes about the link? The only other comment that seems to have your approval is "inside" joke comments about your little clique.

Pardon me for using the comment section for something other than what you approve of.

Perhaps you should make it clearer on the registration page:

1) Do not bother registering. You are not part of our tiny 3l33t high school circle.

2) Do not use the comment section to make comments. Only cynical post attempting to display your wit is allowed.

Don't blame LinkSwarm because you post tired, mediocre dreck. The most brainpower you've ever expended to date was on thinking up mediocre, tired ways to characterize this community, which you have very little familiarity with, as elitist.

This is entertaining.

What was the point of this thread, it would seem that you wanted to pantsmeep an admin in front of his own community, now you are all meepy because it backfires. I think you are the type of dude who just feeds off drama. Please don't stop though, watching you whine is funny.

Clavis gave you some good advice, it's the exactsame advice I see in many other sites of this type, asking posters to test the waters and ease themselves into the community.

EXHIBIT A: Good 'ol AmeriKKKa. Can always count on them for hate (as AmeriKKKan as apple pie) Nice non sequiter meep.

EXHIBIT B: I am sorry but a Transformers movie deserves Michael Bay. What meep will Hollywood put out next? A movie about snakes let loose on a plane? Way to stay current meepface, meeping poorly executed farkesque snakes on a plane joke.

EXHIBIT C: Exploding Apple batteries. That is one way to get rid of the cultural elite I AM GOING TO HOLD YOUR NOSE IN THIS meep AND CRAYOLA ALL OVER THE PROTECTIVE COVERS ON YOUR MOTHER'S COUCH, YOU DRAMA meep meepGOT.

IT'S OK, I UNDERSTAND WHAT IT FEELS LIKE TO NOT BELONG, BUT THE PATH TO ACCEPTANCE IS NOT HIDING POOPLOGS IN THE TOILET TANK, OK?

What are you doing right now? If Linkswarm is a high-schoolish clique, as you allege, you seem to be falling very clearly into the complaining gossipy archetype of the clique reject. You are not the first to go down this path. Perhaps you should form a rival website that makes fun of all of our cynical witticisms. Just make sure it has a shoutbox.

I had no idea that Clavis was an admin since his profile does not make mention of it, nor does the forum mention who the moderators are.

The fact that he is an admin makes his PM that much worse.

Notice how every inbred snob in this thread wears one of these tags?

Grow up.

High school should be behind you.

Dude, figure it out for yourself. Take it from one who knows. Meanwhile, just keep being defensive. Trust me, spilling blood in shark infested waters is the only thing more sure. But, most of all don't stop being you. There is nothing wrong with being stupid and boring, just being both at the same time. As the closest thing thing to a friend you are going to find here, here's my advice: Own it. Then, run with it. Here you never question authority directly, you run into it and and meep about it when the bruises begin to show. (I love you baby, I didn't mean to hurt you....)

The Idiot's Bestiary needs a new entry. This fellow is an example of an archetype that rears its nasty yappy little chihuahua head from time to time and they're all very similar. There's a distinctive kind of friction when the less-equal demand equality.

EDIT:

Baesparza: There is nothing wrong with being stupid and boring, just being both at the same time.
Maybe I should clarify that part of those emails. No one's actually hoping you'll be either one. If you're stupid in an entertaining fashion, good. If you're boring but educational, good. Both is a deadly combination. Try to be neither.

If we're pretending lofty emotional detachment, then I'd guess what's sad and amusing here is that you keep posting to this thread, despite your half-hearted/quickly-abandoned attempt to back out halfway through with your nose in the air, and despite the fact that you have nothing to say.

Going back to my earlier comment on your assumption of the "anti-clique reject" mentality, don't you seem to be becoming increasingly your own warm puddle of self-adulation in this thread? "Tiny little ants smug with themselves because they control the ant-hill"? Thats a smug meeping statement, and virtually everything you've said has a similiar attitude.

"You seem to be working nicely on your own generalizations. No wonder you smug meeps must turn to the internet to look for friends of the same ilk"

"You arrogant children need to get over yourselves and take a long hard look at your behavior"

"Congrats high school kiddies. I shan't waste my time any more with people who are so smug and nasty. Typical inbred Yanks."

"Poor little fella."

I can nearly picture your gigantic self-satisfied smile reflecting in the monitor as you write the words. Many people here are smug cynical meeps, but they usually also are willing to engage in intelligent, entertaining discussion. You seem mostly intelligent, I mean I enjoy your drippingly superior attitude, but its little more than that. So I think Clavis' comments are holding up until you should prove otherwise.

I think Frans would have something interesting to say about all this.
