Lady In The Water

I've always been a fan M. Night Shyamalan's movies, but what I thought was especially genius about this one was that it was obviously done on a low budget by being filmed in one location and not using many big name actors, yet he still made an amazing film! He gave himself a bigger role too which was cool. I loved the humorous character build ups. My favourite character was Reggie with the one pumped up arm.

People seem to either love M. Night Shyamalan's movies or hate them, so let me here your comments, good or bad.

This is the opposite of everything I've heard about this movie.

An artsy friend here said it was horrible and he almost walked out.

This movie was an absolute gem! #1 M did a fantastic job playing a major charcter this time instead of just having a cameo...

I always love to argue with meep bags who say, it wasn't as good as the sixth sence :)

This guy is a fantastic director, his visual art style is beautiful.

I loved how in this movie he didn't screw around with deception.

He said early on...This is whats happening... This is what I need to find out... This is what we're going to do... Then just did exactly what he said he planned to do :) Genius...

It gets terrible reviews... Because he shows people what he thinks of film critics; they are arrogant pricks who don't have the time of day to take interest in real life, think they've seen it all and are generally unimpressed...

Sit back and love this movie guys!! Especially the Gaurdian.

Well, I liked it. It wasn't great, but not bad. The ating and whatnot was worthy. My opinion rules.

I won't see it because I have hated every single one of his stupid "twist at the end" movies. I wish he would die just so he wouldn't be able to make any more movies. I will never forgive him for 'The Village'.

HATE THEM

While I usually like Shyamalamadingdong's movies (excepting Unbreakable), I thought he was really reaching with this one. The gathering of the principals just wasn't believable to me, and the fleshing out of the bedtime story through Mamasan was so contrived it was embarrassing to watch.

As always, however, Giamatti turned in a yeoman-like performance. He's the most underappreciated actor of our time.

HOLY meep, MCGARPAT! Wassup, fig?

I guess I've always been turned off by the hype surrounding Shymememelan's movies - Signs is far from scary and I figured out The Village waaay too early on. I enjoyed Unbreakable simply for its semi-realistic approach to the emergence of superheros, but, as a whole, have been underwhelmed by the body of work in relation to the promotion machine driving it.

But meep, I'll likely give this one a try too.

Touche, Mr. Shymenemlan.

I never saw Sixth Sense 'cause the ending was 'ruined' for me before I had a chance (but I'd like to think I would've figured it out anyway).

I liked Unbreakable - something about it was genuinely disturbing.

The Village was good and bad. Signs looked meep so I skipped it.

Haven't heard much about this one yet, so I guess I'll have to wait & see.
