Anyways, I like capitalism. Of course I'm not poor or a military conscript. I mean seriously. Any sort of altruistic ideal like socialism will never work. You know why. Because humans are evil, violent creatures. Love for the fellow man? Ask cheney about that. Or stalin?

I know a few things about communism/socialism

1 It's an interesting political model that can work well on a small limited scale. On anything bigger than a small town it's a dismal failure.

2 Karl Marx wrote and philosophised about communism but was horrified when people tried to actually put it into practise. He's dead.

3 Groucho, Harpo and Zeppo Marx were comedians. They're dead too.

4 Richard Marx is a singer. His career is dead.

5 Nicolai Lennon did not sing with the Beatles. He started the russian revolution. He used communism to gain the support of the starving masses. He's dead now but doesn't look it.

6 John Lennon was one of the beatles. Like a lot of obscenely rich people he thought communism was a great idea for every one else. He's still dead too.

7 Trotsky is not what you call a Russian horse race.

Also, worst definition of socialism ever. I was with a dirty hippy the other night and was telling him that because of huge business subsidies the US is technically a socialist state. He responded by saying: "No its not, socialism is for the good of the people".

People need to separate their indistinct bullmeep from the actual model of the system their supporting. Fuking idiots.

ALSO: Che Guevara's soul is dying a slow terrible deaths knowing that his life has been commercialized into major motion picture movies, his face stamped on t-shirts and his idelogy traded for paper-thin ideas of bullmeep revolution.

Hey, at least Che will be remembered as that guy from the negative photograph that looks so cool on posters.

It won't be long before beautiful resorts and casinos will be built on Cuba, USA so that rich americans can have a place to bask in the sun, eat banannas and smoke the finest cigars. Maybe there will be a Che Guevera Revolutionary Lounge in Grand Casino Havanna?

Government subsidies don't guarantee that the people get anything.

Even more absurd is the argument between liberals and conservatives: Liberals want to tax more and give the money to the poor, Conservatives want to tax less so the rich can keep what they already have, and then still have a vast military and a government. You can't have both.

The point was hippies annoy me and almost never know what they're talking about. But the US system does amount to bullmeep corporate-socialism. Whole sectors of the economy would not exist except for massive subsidy-while not state-run it is similiar.

Socialism IS evil, as loki said. If i have a good idea, like the google founders, why shouldnt i earn much money with it? Things start to get worse at the point where i use my money to get advantages for my company which harms other companys. If you buy laws, do industrial espionage, this kind of stuff. Socialism is dissatisfying as it puts every idea, all money, all things in an absurd object named john doe. It has some advantages, of course, but the assumption that nobody cant abuse it is utopian.

Who distributes? Its like the Christianity, where the leaders are sitting in an big decorated city and say "the lord says thou should give" (Plus they abuse little childs and nobody knows it becourse nobody cant look behind the walls)

I reject the idea of central organisation. There should be standarts, everybody should be able to learn what he want, do the jobs and hobbys he want.

After all, is it all about the distribution of money: the government owns money and says this is for military, this is for energy, this for education, and this is for the broken street lamp. AND they decide that street lamps in new york are more important then the ones in the town in the desert inhabited by 97 people.

This is the point: street lamps in NY ARE more important, becourse much more people need them, nevertheless, its dark in the town in the desert.
