It reminds me of my life before I converted

I used to like The Cure, then they released this self titled album that reminded me of how Qwerty would sound if Duff was assassinated. SUddenly, i lost interest.

There are two things about this thread I can't believe.

1) How meep it is.

2) That I'm actually playing along.

3) The opening track off Kiss Me comes to mind.

I listened to The Cure back when they were young, hot and thin, now Smith is old and bloated and looks rather freakish still sporting that "just rolled out of bed" 80's doo.

Because I was raised by Vas I was never allowed to listen to music or watch TV so I don't know who the Cure is!

Instead I will comment on my favorite Hilary Duff track at the moment.

"The Last Song" from her latest CD titled Hilary Duff.

I never liked the cure, Adam Ant was always way cooler! I dont considure The Cure to be totaly Goth, but goth and pretentious enougth for me not to like. I also dont considure NIN's Pretty Hate Machine days to be goth though some do - its the begginings of Industrial in my books. I was listening to that whilst going on a totaly William Gibson bender in the early 90's - ahh heady days, had NO friends but heady days all the same ;)

NIN/Reznor directly copied his sound from SkinnyPuppy and Ministry

Wasnt Ministry all church organs, heavy metal guitar and deep vocals. Salm 69 was cool!

Wow - is that realy the lyric writing prowess of Hillary Duff? I'm amazed... Amazed at how totally juvenile, trashy, simplistic and so utterly throw-away-able her music is - that is. People buy this meep - I so could have a career in the music industry.

Back to the original topic: I used to like to trip to the "B" sides: Mr. Pink Eyes, stop dead, i'm cold, etc. I liked watching the dancing worms grow out of the carpet.

It is a very sad day around LS when Forum topics meander off topic (nothing unusual) but seem to be finding their way to the topic of Duff the fat vs. Duff the thin vs. Duff the hot vs. Duff the pre-teen meep kitten vs. Duff the attention meep. WTF!

My all time fav acid tripping tunes are PINK FLOYD. Yeah old school I know but the meep worked great and I never failed to see great tracers, wavy rugs, floating curtains....

If they're in general population they don't have long and that is a fact. The problem is that they usually end up in protection so they live long enough to get out and do it again, or they are the traditional dirty old man and the boys tend to respect their elders even if they shouldn't.
