Hey everyone.

meep OFF.

Your an idiot but at least you let the world know.

Well, at least the Unicorns don't hate me.

Your right, thiat was the wrong way to encourage users to start posting and commenting. What I meant was that your giant meeper nose is both wonderful and efficient.

Eh. Just hack something up that removes posting/commenting privileges from non-active members. Like you have to have a certain number of posts (1 would be enough, I think) each week in order to 'stay alive.'

Well meep, I don't see YOU throwing out ideas here. Paid members would be exempt because it's kind of obvious that they're committed to sparklemotion.

And it wouldn't have to be something major, just a quick comment on one of the links could work, I suppose.

He said sparklemotion.

fastlane: He said sparklemotion.

I have nothing to add to that. There is no possible reply to sparklemotion.

Eh. I like the thrust of it, but ultimately it goes the wrong way. Apart from the administrative headache of re-enabling posting any time someone hasn't had something to say for a week, people would also end up posting throw-away comments just to escape the weekly snuff.

I was thinking something like a free 1-month Alpha account each month to the one person who stops lurking and knocks our socks off one way or another.

That would be sparklemotion lotion.

Uh, yeah. We're talking about actual dialogue here, you know, like this. With the amount of users the site has, there should be more comments in both the links and the forums.

Then there is only one way to make these people come forward: A whole lot of harrasment.

Therefore, the following people suck whatever is left of Dumbskull's withered meep:

Do you all want to go on lurking in the shadows with all that darky, dark, darkness ROLLLLLING around in your tummy? NO, you want to flip that wonderful switch inside your heart and let your light deprived guts spill all over the Linkswarm website! YEAH! LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE, KIDS!

What type of measurement would you use, +1 -1 system?

The month of FREE ALPHA for the most posts each month or the most interesting or longest lasting forum / journal entry might be encouraging as long as it didn't end up going to the same few people all the time ( but if they've earnt it they should get it I suppose)

seeing how i am dedicated to Sparkle Motion, I will give all a big, dead hullo

Wow, a first time post, now doesnt that feel good? Its soft and warm, like rolling around on a pile of fat girls.

Could be, but I don't think it needs to be. It's not like we're Something Awful with 5000 people posting away at any given minute. We tend to see the same 50-100 peeps weekly and I think we'd sort of know who was remarkable just through LS osmosis.

For example, MudVayne was "remarkable." So was DumbSkull. So was Tantrum. God, who else? Tons. meepNiger. BeachGoat made an entry of wit and skill. Barch did. YourRepublicanFriend did. I could go on, but I can't, cause my brain ain't working so well just yet this AM.

Sometimes they're "good" and sometimes they're "bad" but they're always interesting, and they usually stick around and end up contributing to the wit and (lack of) wisdom that makes this place rock.

I think you would also encourage alot more spoofing and there is plenty of that meep already.

Second day of school.

I have to gather a meeping bug collection before the first frost. I also have to take muthermeeping field trips to bum meep places in Maine on the meeping weekends and be at school no later than ZERO DARK THIRTY also known as 4:30 AM 7 meeping days this semester (ON Saturdays and Sundays). I spent two hours in a hot steaming library copying reserve reading for a meeping class, only to have the professor tell me later this afternoon that I did not need to copy all... just a few... well which meeping few? I haven't slept in 36 hours; I have been running on smokes and caffeine. I have too much home work bull meep to do tonight for class tomorrow so I can't sleep. The good news is the ball and chain did the dishes... three straight days in a row. Something is not right here, I have not figured it out yet, but something is not right.
